In 1997 Roncalli's Apollo Variety Theatre opened in Düsseldorf, directly under Kniebrücke bridge on the banks of the Rhine. Director Bernhard Paul describes it as "Circus Roncalli's more elegant and rakish little brother". The theatre offers audiences an array of variety acts from around the world including magic, acrobatics, juggling and comedy. With seating for 506 people, the Apollo is one of Europe's largest variety theatres.
