The festival week in Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the foot of the Alps continues until 5 August 2012. It's a volksfest celebration in the best Bavarian tradition that offers brass bands, beer, delicious Bavarian food and much more besides. With the men in lederhosen and the ladies in dirndl, an exuberant atmosphere abounds.
