In the autumn of 1989, Leipzig Monday Demonstrations developed their own momentum which ultimately contributed towards toppling the Socialist Unity Party of Germany's regime in the GDR. Learn more about the events of that time and visit the originally preserved rooms of the former "Leipzig Administration for State Security" in the present-day "Museum in der Runden Ecke" (Museum in the Round Corner, "Stasi-Museum") or the exhibition in the Forum of Contemporary History during the course of a guided tour.
