Handel Festival in Halle
Every year celebrated baroque musicians perform at the Handel Festival in Halle , Saxony-Anhalt , the birthplace of George Frideric Handel. Musical greats such as the Argentinian mezzo soprano Bernarda Fink and The Dunedin Consort & Players from Scotland are among those to have made guest appearances. The festival traditionally closes with a performance of Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks at the Galgenberg gorge, accompanied by a spectacular fireworks display.

This 30-day event presents a different programme of Wagner's key works each year and is held at the festival hall on 'Green Hill'. The venue was built in accordance with Richard Wagner's own concept in the 19th century. Today, the festival is attended by politicians, diplomats and celebrities from all over the world.
Golf & Classics – open-air concert in Land Fleesensee
A visual and an aural feast: musicians from the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing together with more than a hundred golfers at the open-air Golf & Classics concert at Land Fleesensee in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , northern Europe's largest resort for golfing holidays. Luminescent golf balls, struck in time with the music, will be flying through the air, making the concert an unforgettable audio-visual experience. The venue is the driving range at the Göhren-Lebbin palace park.
During the Beethoven Festival, Bonn puts the focus on its most famous son and gives him a 21st-century reboot. Performing works put together specially for the festival, acclaimed musicians such as Lorin Maazel, Kurt Masur and Hélène Grimaud as well as selected newcomers introduce their interpretations of the composer's music. Accompanying the festival is the 'Look at Beethoven' project, which sees young creators of media presenting their take on Beethoven in short films and installations.
The Rheingau Music Festival presents a series of fantastic concerts ranging from serious music to sophisticated entertainment, covering virtually every era, style and genre along the way. The 150-plus concerts that take place at around 40 venues in the Rheingau wine region are attended by over 120,000 visitors. The venues, located between Wiesbaden and Lorch, include palaces, churches, abbeys, wine estates and the river Rhine itself.
