This family-run park was established by Hannfried Graf von Bentzel in 1975. Like many theme parks, it started off small with just a deer enclosure and a fairytale forest. Every year Bentzel came up with new ideas, until his original concept had developed into a 44-hectare park with entertaining shows and a host of exciting rides. What makes this park so special is its natural charm. Integrated into the spacious palace park with its mature trees and ponds, the park is the ideal place to relax and have fun. From the high-speed rollercoaster to the little steam train, and from daring stunts at the western show to daily medieval tournaments, there's something here to suit every taste. What clearly separates this park from others in the region is its spaciousness and wealth of established trees, which the Count of Bentzel has no intention of changing. Visitors are positively encouraged to stretch out on the sunbathing lawns, for instance, and take time to relax and reflect.
