Flensburg, Germany's northernmost town, is a Christmas wonderland during the Advent season. In the old quarter the beautifully illuminated Christmas market has a magical Danish and Scandinavian feel, with stalls stretching from Südermarkt square all along the pedestrian area as far as Nordermarkt. Here you'll find tempting treats from Germany and from neighbouring Denmark, as well as the world's smallest bar, which serves myriad variations on Tallinn punch. In the delightful captains' and merchants' courtyards as well as at the Christmas market, there is festive fun to be had by all ages.
