PACKAGE FOR STUDENTS
As an extracurricular education centre, the Autostadt offers a variety of learning and recreational activities for school groups of all ages. The packages are aimed at children, adolescents or young adults. Tailored to specific educational objectives, the programmes range from learning activities for children, to workshops, guided tours and full-day projects. Along with its standard learning programs, the Autostadt offers many different seasonal attractions and events.

For everyone, who shares the same opinion that good-quality luxury and primitive sportiness cannot be united in a carriage, to those ones the Ferrari California must seem like a carriage of another star. Directly after the entrance the leather seats cuddle up to the body and one would never again like to take a seat somewhere else, with the pressure of the red start button on the steering wheel engine with his 460 HP from four chromium-plated exhaust pipes roars of the V8 and lets all ears prick up the ears in the surroundings.

he myth Ferrari inspires – rightly! If the horse dives in the rear-view mirror on the left track is freed to Ferrari. With his maximum speed of 310 km/h and the closed aluminium hood, he shoots over the highway and leaves amusing amazement. But also with open hood on the country road one gets the smile not from the face during the foot on the accelerator constantly after higher speed and unrestrained acceleration required.

Cartowersascent:
The two emblems of the Autostadt, the two CarTowers (AutoTürme), can be explored in an air-conditioned panoramic glas lift. These glazed, highrise garages, each housing 400 new vehicles, are the heart of vehicle delivery at the Autostadt.

Driving an electric car
 The autostadt brings electromobility to life. A test drive with an E-Golf gives drivers a chance to experience the latest technology and the unique feeling of driving an electric car. The Golf blue-e-motion fleet is available for autostadt guests daily from 9:45 to 16:45. Test drives are free of charge.

If you like to cycle leisurely and take your time for all the things worth seeing along the way, this one is for you. This cultural cycling tour along the Saar and Moselle will take you to a number of cultural highlights, such as the Porta Nigra in Germany’s oldest city Trier, the so-called “little Venice“ in Saarburg, the ceramics manufacturer Villeroy & Boch, the World Heritage Site “Völklinger Hütte“ (former ironworks), the Baroque Saarbrücken and the city of the Sun King, Saarlouis.
Tour description Day 1: Arrival Visit the Baroque historic city centre of Saarbrücken and current exhibition at the “Saarland-Museum“
Day 2: Saarbrücken – Saarlouis (18 miles/29 km) Cycle on the Saar cycling route to Völklingen where you will have sufficient time to visit the ceramics manufacturer Villeroy & Boch, the World Heritage Site “Völklinger Hütte“ (former ironworks), the Baroque city of Saarbrücken and Saarlouis, the city of the Sun King.
Day 3: Saarlouis – Mettlach (21.8 miles/25 km) Today you will be cycling along the Saar and pass the famous Saar Bow until you reach Mettlach. Do not miss visiting the Villeroy & Boch exhibition “Keravision“ in the old Benedictine abbey, showcasing the history of the famous ceramics manufacturer. And last but not least, how about a bit of shopping? There are some outlet stores to be found in Mettlach ...
Day 4: Mettlach – Trier (25.6 miles/41 km) The route leads on to Saarburg, well known for its castle dating back to the 10th century, the historic town centre and its traces of the Middle Ages as well as a waterfall. Upriver, you will cycle along the Saar to Konz where Saar and Moselle meet. Following the course of the Moselle, you will reach your destination Trier, Germany’s oldest city, in the Rhineland-Palatinate.
Day 5: Departure Visit the Roman city of Trier and departure.

It is the Saarland’s landmark, and you should not miss it. So, put your packed lunch in your rucksack, don’t forget your trail description and walk the famous Saar Bow route. Right behind the town of Mettlach, the trail leads into a dense mixed forest up to the ferry landing where you will set over to the other side of the Saar. An uphill passage will take you to the “Cloef“ viewpoint where your efforts will be rewarded. Chef Michael Buchna will treat you to some culinary delights in his “Landidyll“ hotel. Get ready for regional cuisine and meals prepared with fresh products and a passion for detail.
