More than 6 million guests a year — DER Touristik is today one of the leading travel and tourism groups in the German-speaking world. €4.7 billion in sales in 2012 was the result of the tremendous efforts of 6,500 employees. DER Touristik is divided into three differentiated divisions: the tour operators for classic holiday travel at “DER Touristik Köln” (previously REWE Touristik Gesellschaft mbH) and the operators for individual and long-distance travel at “DER Touristik Frankfurt & Co. KG” (previously Dertour & Co. KG)and the travel agency sales operation “DER Deutsches Reisebüro & Co. OHG”, both with headquarters in Frankfurt am Main.

Our Travel Agency Sales Operation
DER Touristik is at present clearly the market leader in Germany for brick-and-mortar travel agency sales operations, realising turnover of €3.137bn (2012) in 2,100 sales offices. The travel agency sales operation at DER Touristik breaks down into branch office sales with the brand DER, including own travel agency sales of DER Deutsches Reisebüro, online sales at the domain DER.COM, the franchise sales business with the brand DERPART and the sales offices of the Reisebüro-Service Gesellschaft
(RSG) comprising two chain and four cooperation systems and the franchise system DER Touristik Partner. The branch office system FCm Travel Solutions and the franchise system DERPART Travel Service put DER Touristik in the number 2 spot on the German market for business travel sales.

The Travel Agency Sales Brand DER
We regard every single customer as an individual. So it is only logical that we all stand together in affirming our commitment to the quality of the advice we give. This is the key to an individual travel experience. This attitude is reflected in our claim as well. It succinctly explains our promised services to our customers and describes our core competence in a nutshell: “Wishes Become Travel”.
The full-area coverage of travel agencies and the online platform DER.COM will enable us to achieve a previously unknown presence and brand awareness on the market. DER travel agencies are moving forward with the rigorous development of all of the brand contact points.
Special offers for groups – “Gruppenreisen weltweit”
Dertour devotes special attention to group and reader tours. In line with the theme of “Discovering countries and other cultures together”, in its adventure travel programme the tour operator offers a wide range of unusual, global group tours that can be undertaken by air, rail and bus.
Our commitment – help for little ones
Social commitment and taking on social responsibility constitute an integral part of our corporate philosophy. For this reason, in the year 2000 the “Good Deed” programme was initiated. Since then the employees who work at the Frankfurt am Main location have been actively involved in it. In the course of the year, funds are raised through a huge variety of individual activities – by employees for employees – also with the support of the company. The recipients of the donations are non-profit organisations in the Rhein-Main region, which is where the head office is located. In order to use those funds to help in a targeted way, the “Good Deed” initiative has been supporting the Child Welfare Association of Frankfurt since 2006. Among other things, the association gives abused or sexually exploited children and teenagers the opportunity to work through and deal with what they have experienced with the help of therapists. This long-term partnership with the Child Welfare Association is aimed at providing sustainable assistance for this urgently needed project.
Furthermore, as tour operators Dertour, Meier’s Weltreisen and ADAC Reisen also support the battle against sexual exploitation of children in countries that are holiday destinations. As members of the Association of German Travel Agents and Tour Operators (DRV), they have joined forces with the internationally active children’s rights organisation ECPAT to champion children’s rights and fight against sexual abuse. An extensive code of ethics has been agreed upon jointly.
