Based on a turnover of 190 million euros in 2013 Messe Berlin is among the world’s ten leading trade fair companies operating their own exhibition grounds. Messe Berlin offers at its main location Berlin two unique event sites. The halls on its inner-city Exhibition Grounds Berlin ExpoCenter City cover 160,000 square metres, with an additional outdoor area measuring 100,000 square metres. Since summer 2012 Messe Berlin is operating a new fairground, the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport adjacent to the future Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). With its extensive outdoor areas, column-free construction halls and large-capacity car parks, this venue provides the clients with enough space for all their most imaginative ideas, combined with maximum flexibility.
Since May 2014 Messe Berlin is operating a new multifunctional event arena, the CityCube Berlin, which serves both as an extension of the existing exhibition space and as an additional congress venue. Two main floors, flexible wall partitioning, numerous conference rooms and the neighbouring exhibition grounds provide the perfect setting for all types of congresses and fairs. Events can be staged here with up to 11,000 delegates. The international conferences held at the Messe Berlin Fairground have resulted in the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) ranking Berlin fourth among the world’s leading congress venues.

In 2011 attendance totalled 170,000 on an overall display area of 160,000 square metres on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Each year sales in excess of six billion euros are generated at ITB Berlin, which not only provides an accurate picture of the state of global travel industry but is also a major media event.
During the five days of ITB Berlin new trends are being established for an industry that employs over 100 million people worldwide, making it certainly one of the world’s largest and most important growth sectors. Tourism products are clearly arranged on a geographical basis and according to specific market segments.
