Picasso, Caspar David Friedrich and Henri Matisse are among the individuals to have once explored what makes an artist's workspace so special. The exhibition 'The Studio: from Spitzweg to Picasso, from Giacometti to Nauman', on until 10 February 2013 at Stuttgart State Gallery, features works spanning a variety of media but focuses primarily on painting and photography.
