Take a journey of discovery through the Ruhr on 30 June 2012, as the region hosts ExtraSchicht, a night of industrial heritage featuring more than 200 events at 50 venues. 'Lights on!' is the theme for the event, which sees former industrial sites, operational production plants, collieries and slagheaps spectacularly transformed by colourful illuminations, projections, shows and fireworks.
