The State Museum of Prehistory in Halle is one of the most important archaeological museums in central Europe.
A cornerstone of archaeological preservation in Saxony-Anhalt, it houses one of the oldest, most comprehensive and most important archaeological collections in Germany. This stock of more than 15 million discoveries includes the famous Nebra Sky Disk. These exceptionally interesting artefacts are displayed in chronological order – from the beginning of the Stone Age through to the early Iron Age.
