Mills Trail – the miller boys' route through the Wiehengebirge and Wesergebirge hills

The Wiehengebirge and Wesergebirge hills form one of Germany's loveliest landscapes dotted with mills. The Mills Trail links ten restored mills that are powered by wind, water, engine or horse power.

    Tip

    Bergkirchen Watermill
Bergkirchen's watermill lies on a stream flowing through one of the valleys of the Wiehengebirge hills. Besides having fully functioning grain milling gears, it is the only mill on the Westphalian Mills Route to still produce cold-pressed oils from indigenous plants.
