As an extracurricular education centre, the Autostadt offers a variety of learning and recreational activities for school groups of all ages. The packages are aimed at children, adolescents or young adults. Tailored to specific educational objectives, the programmes range from learning activities for children, to workshops, guided tours and full-day projects. Along with its standard learning programs, the Autostadt offers many different seasonal attractions and events.

Eleven premium trails near the hotel „ROEMER“ will make every rambler’s heart beat faster. While staying here, you can visit the unique wolf park in Merzig, an education and research facility where more than 20 wolves live. The park is also your starting point for the “Merzig wolf’s trail“ leading via the “Garden of the Senses“, a beautiful garden nestled between the three countries of Germany, Luxembourg and France.

Our “Discover the Hunsrück Steig“ package is a great way to get a first impression of the long-distance trail that was opened in 2007.
Your hotelier will take you to the first top sight on the way and at the same time starting point of your tour – the “Cloef” viewpoint with its terrific view over the Saar Bow. From here, the trail meanders along and up to the “Schwarzwälder Hochwald“ (Black Forest high forest area) where the ground is densely covered in fern.
During your next day on the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig you will experience a particularly beautiful part of the trail with giant trees and rocks lining the path like impressive natural monuments. The trip will end in the climatic spa of Weiskirchen.

Your tour of indulgence begins in Bad Bevensen, which is known for its thermal baths. You will continue toward the Baltic coast, to Grevesmuehlen, where you will enjoy sightseeing and regional Mecklenburg cuisine. The Fuchsbau, a former manor house, awaits you in an idyllic rural setting at the Timmendorf beach. A final highlight will take you even further north, to Kiel, where regional, seasonal cuisine meets well-being at its best.
