The city of Dresden, the regional capital of Saxony, has a rich cultural heritage in which industry and engineering play a major part. Until 1 April 2012, the Industrial Heritage Open Days give you a chance to look behind the scenes and take a trip back in time.

One of the highlights is the fourth Dresden steam train show from 30 March to 1 April 2012, which is the opening event for the 140th anniversary of the railways in Dresden.
