Cycling for fun in Germany

On 2 September 2012 a cycling fun day is being held in Bad Saarow in Brandenburg. The cycling tour goes around lakes Scharmützel and Storkow passing through scenic countryside along the way. Afterwards, each participant receives the Lake Scharmützel Cycling Diploma as a reminder of the day and a motivation to take part next year.

Bikes are also enjoying priority treatment at the moment in the town of Nürburg in Rhineland-Palatinate. Until 2 September 2012, as part of the annual Rad am Ring event, huge numbers of cyclists are cranking up the speed on the Nürburgring race track.
