Technology Museum Speyer – Europe's largest aerospace exhibition

With an outdoor area of 150,000m² and hall space of 25,000m², Speyer Technology Museum features Europe's largest aerospace exhibition, including the original Buran space shuttle and a Soyuz re-entry capsule. Other exhibits include classic cars, submarines, aeroplanes, locomotives, ships, fire engines and steam engines.

Speyer Technology Museum is located in the heart of Speyer, just a stone's throw from the famous cathedral. With an outdoor area of 150,000m² and hall space of 25,000m², the museum features Europe's largest aerospace exhibition, including the original Buran space shuttle and a Soyuz re-entry capsule. Other exhibits include classic cars, submarines, aeroplanes (including the Antonov AN 22 + Boeing 747 with walk-on wing), locomotives, ships, fire engines, steam engines, models, mechanical instruments and much more besides. Along with the Car & Technology Museum in Sinsheim, Speyer Technology Museum is one of Europe's largest museums of technology. The two together have the most comprehensive collection anywhere in the world. The museum is also home to Germany's only IMAX Dome cinema. Its domed screen measures 24 metres across and has a projection area of almost 1,000m². Accommodation is available at the Hotel Speyer am Technik Museum or the nearby caravan park.
