One of four sites under the Saxon Museum of Industry umbrella, Chemnitz Museum of Industry is housed inside a former foundry.
A selection of exhibits portrays the events and the people of Saxony's industrial past. Until 1945 Saxony was Germany's foremost industrial region and Chemnitz was the hub of industrial manufacturing. Many inventions and products from Saxony went on to take the whole world by storm.
