Visitors to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Goslar cannot fail to be enchanted by its captivating Christmas forest: by the fir trees illuminated by tens of thousands of lights, the soft forest floor, the gentle music and the tempting aromas. The neighbouring market square is the medieval setting for the Christmas market, whose 80 lovingly decorated food, drink and craft stalls are arranged in the shape of a star. Other highlights are the festival of lights in the Roeder Stollen mine and the unusual Christmas market above and below ground.
