Journey back in time in Nuremberg

Travel has changed significantly over the past 100 years, although many people still choose to get around by train today. However, very few of us know what it was like to travel by train in 1920, which is why the Deutsche Bahn Museum in Nuremberg is taking its visitors on a journey back in time. A newly opened exhibition area illustrates the history of the railways with fascinating exhibits such as vintage station clocks, the wooden benches from the economy class carriages of the day and Mitropa cushions, which could be hired to make the journey more comfortable.
