This year's Rhine in Flames on 5 May 2012 will once again be drawing gasps of delights from the crowds along a stretch of the Rhine between Bonn and Linz. In addition to the five fireworks displays, there will be 60 illuminated boats on the water and a host of castles, hilltops and other sights lit up on the riverbanks. Festivals featuring live bands are also taking place on the promenades in Bonn, Linz, Remagen and a number of other towns.
