From 4 to 12 February 2012, the city of Halle is hosting the 7th Women in Jazz festival. Music fans can look forward to a host of events, concerts and exhibitions as Halle becomes the international centre for female-fronted jazz.

But throughout the rest of the year as well, the birthplace of the composer Handel has plenty to offer: the historical city centre, for example, the market square with its five towers, and the many restaurants, cafés and shops.
