In the more industrial areas, it's hard to completely escape the noise of traffic. Scenery: river landscape along the Saar to its confluence with the Moselle including the Saar Bow. The Saar Valley is surrounded by gently rolling hills, meadows and forests. There are also a number of small medieval towns along the route.
