Dual study program

The 6-semester study consists of 3-month alternating theoretical and practical phases. The Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences teaches skills in the area of scientific work, business and technical knowledge (such as business administration, economics, human resources, law) and knowledge in the deepening of tourism-specific modules (eg destination management, event management, e-business).

In the operational phases, you will work in various departments and will use on your acquired knowledge

  • - you create touristic marketing and action plans for cooperation partners and assist in developing marketing strategies for foreign markets.
  • - you assist in the design of the website and the B2B website for our trade partners
  • - you get to know the tasks of the press and public relations work and cooperate in the organization of events and press trips
  • - you work on - under instructions - own projects with practical relevance
  • - you conduct market observations and analyzes and provide presentations for workshops and events
  • - you work with different user systems

You should bring the following skills:

  • - high school diploma with good final grades
  • - good numeracy and good language skills in English
  • - excellent expressiveness in German language
  • - first practical experience in the field of tourism, marketing and / or service is an advantage
  • - high personal initiative, communication strength and willingness to perform
  • - logical-analytical thinking
  • - skilled handling of MS Office applications as well as affinity to social media channels

You are supervised by the colleagues of the specialist department during the operational practice phases and, in addition, by the management of the training and further education.
