If you are a fan of regional German cuisine? then this is the event for you. The green sauce festival (Grüne Soße Festival), now entering its seventh year, will be on in Frankfurt from 17 to 24 May 2014. For one whole week, Rossmarkt square in the city centre will be celebrating this special sauce and its seven herbs: chive, borage, salad burnet, chervil, sorrel, parsley and cress. There will be lunchtime specials and other culinary delights to try, plus a programme of evening entertainment. On the final night, one of 49 restaurants will be awarded the title of best green sauce in the region. All that remains to be said is guten appetit!
