A visit to Klotten Wildlife and Leisure Park, located on the Moselle Wine Route, promises families and nature lovers alike a fun and memorable day out in the great outdoors. Fans of fast rides will enjoy the Hot Ride rollercoaster that takes you on breathtaking tour through the rocky landscape of a volcano. The motor swing comet, looping star and one of Germany's highest, fastest and steepest log flumes are a must for those who love reaching dizzy heights. Other fun-packed attractions include a giant bouncy cushion, trampolines, various children's carousels, a wildwater ride, a cable car, a water bob ride, a giant slide, a dinghy waterslide, electric horse riding, the Klotti climbing tower and a play area with all the must-have play equipment. And last but not least, the puppet theatre, which presents wonderful stories for all ages to enjoy several times a day.
A great many exotic and indigenous wildlife species live in spacious enclosures amid the 60 hectares of unspoilt woodland at the park. There are brown bears, raccoons, wolves, lynxes, ibexes and roe deer, but also a petting zoo with pygmy goats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other animals, which children can get up close to and feed with special animal food. Klotten Wildlife and Leisure Park is particularly famous for its wide variety of birds and parrots. The bird of prey demonstrations at the falconry centre are also fascinating. Here you can see everything from owls and eagle owls to common buzzards, kestrels and a black-chested buzzard-eagle, plus three vultures which have an extraordinary sense of smell. You can watch these 'hunters of the skies' up close at the daily flying displays.
