The Wadden Sea mudflats have become a UNESCO World Heritage site, for example, which has given nature conservation in Germany a massive boost. @sommertageblog made their way to Schleswig-Holstein to explore the plants and animals that live in and around the Wadden Sea.

Harz National Park

This region has also seen big changes since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
