The ZOOM World of Adventure in Gelsenkirchen celebrated the unexpected birth of a baby orang-utan last Friday (17 August 2012). This adorable new arrival came as a complete surprise as nobody was aware that its mother was pregnant. The themed zones at the park provide a fascinating insight into the animals and plants of Asia, Africa and Alaska.
