20 December 1812 saw the publication of the first edition of the Grimms' fairytales, and so this year marks the collection's 200th anniversary. In celebration of this milestone, the German Fairytale Route is transporting visitors into a world of folklore until 30 September 2013, with a wide-ranging programme including an open-air theatre, themed tours and even special fairytale feasts.
