One of the biggest folk, roots and world music festivals in Germany is on until 8 July 2012 in the Thuringian town of Rudolstadt near Erfurt. More than 60 bands from all over the world are playing a wide spectrum of music ranging from traditional folk to hip-hop and techno. Among the highlights are the RUTH German World Music Awards and the festival for children.
