| UNESCO Routes | | Germany is home to 44 UNESCO world heritage sites and there is no better time to explore them than now. We have created eight different routes for visitors to follow in order to discover the natural and cultural treasures, like the earthly treasure and architecture route or the visionaries and pioneering thinkers route. All these routes start and end close to an international airport for easy access. The world heritage sites themselves and the diverse landscapes along the way are guaranteed to amaze you. | | |

| bauhaus imaginista | | This year, we are celebrating the Bauhaus centenary with fascinating festivals and events all over Germany. The capital Berlin has unified all its exhibitions into one large display at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, which is open until June 10, 2019. This is the first time that Bauhaus history is told in such a grant way and on more than 21,000 square feet, with works of art and design, and some very rare loans. | | |

| Asparagus Season | | It’s asparagus season! In Germany, we are passionate about the Spargelzeit, the white asparagus season. The delicious vegetable is harvested mid-April through late June, traditionally June 24. During this time, our visitors can enjoy the white asparagus in different regions in Germany, like the Muensterland in North-Rhine Westphalia, and in numerous dishes. Locals like to pair their asparagus with ham, potatoes and sauce hollandaise, a must try for every visitor! | | |

| Dresden Music Festival | | From May 15 to June 10, 2019 you have the opportunity to attend one of the most prestigious music festivals in Europe: The Dresden Music Festival. Renowned orchestras and soloists will take the stage at different venues in the beautiful historic center of Dresden on the River Elbe and its surroundings. The festival has such a tremendous reputation that even world stars, such as Marilyn Horne and Barbara Hendricks, have made their ways to Dresden to perform here. | | |

| Luther’s wedding in Wittenberg | | What better reason is there to celebrate than a wedding?! The small town of Wittenberg has dedicated itself to reenacting the holy matrimony of Martin Luther and Katharina von Bora. Each year 90,000 wedding guests from all over the world gather in the old quarter of Wittenberg to witness the historical performances and admire the traditional costumes and music. Later in the evening the music becomes more modern and the wedding party keeps celebrating the happy couple. | | |
