Madame Tussauds: a star-studded world of waxworks

As you step inside the Madame Tussauds waxwork museum on Berlin's Unter den Linden, you enter the glamorous world of international stars. This family attraction offers a great mix of interactivity, regional references and history brought to life.

Covering roughly 2,500m², the Madame Tussauds exhibition in Berlin presents seven different themed zones that are packed with interactive features. Impressive backdrops and performers, who provide additional entertainment at some stations, make the waxworks a fun experience for all the family. Best of all, many of the exhibits are interactive. At Madame Tussauds you can get up close to all kinds of famous people including politicians, philosophers, cultural figures, international music stars and sports legends. There's the chance to have your picture taken standing next to Heidi Klum, while the kids can practise moonwalking right next to Michael Jackson, have a go at karaoke or give their portrait the Andy Warhol treatment. The Behind the Scenes zone shows just how much work goes into a waxwork – from meeting with the celebrities and taking precise body measurements right through to the final wardrobe check. Visitors of all ages can see how wax figures are made and looked after. You can even make a waxwork of your own hand!

This is the place to come if you've always dreamt of proving your knowledge in an IQ test with Albert Einstein, lying on Sigmund Freud's couch, discussing literature with Günter Grass, slipping into Lady Gaga's outfit, making a public address next to Angela Merkel, joining Beethoven at the piano or going on a date with George Clooney? The mesmerising wax figures in this interactive exhibition will propel you into a world of A-listers and influential figures. The famous people may all be made of wax here, but you are allowed to touch these extraordinarily lifelike models and stand next to them for a photo! Every day, thousands of fans have their picture taken with their favourite stars – whether in London, New York, Amsterdam or Berlin. Madame Tussauds is more than just a popular visitor attraction. After hours it doubles as a sought-after venue for exclusive events. So, who have you always longed to meet?
