The name of the Fischers Fritz gourmet restaurant at the Regent Berlin is inspired by a German tongue-twister. In a way, it also sums up the composition of the menu. In the heart of the metropolis of Berlin, around 200 kilometres from the Baltic Sea, Fischers Fritz serves mainly fish and seafood specialities in a very stylish atmosphere with wood-panelled walls, large crystal chandeliers and contemporary art.
In the kitchen, the team under Head Chef Christian Lohse impresses with perfect skill in their craft, innate understanding of ingredients and high culinary intelligence. The focus here is on classic French haute cuisine, carefully modernised yet undistorted, free from "flourishes" and using only the finest produce. Where possible, the vegetables are sourced from in and around Berlin.
