Nuremberg Trials Memorial

This information and documentation site sheds light on the Nazi perpetrators and their crimes, the Subsequent Nuremberg Trials held between 1946 and 1949, and the impact of the criminal proceedings that is still being felt to this day.

The Nuremberg Trials took place in the courtroom at Nuremberg's Palace of Justice between 1945 and 1949. During this time, the leading figures of the Nazi regime were called before an international court to face trial for the atrocities they had committed. The criminal proceedings had a huge impact on the development of international law and this is still being felt to this day. Courtroom 600 is still a working courtroom, but visitors can head to the top floor to visit the Nuremberg Trials Memorial, a site of information and documentation.

It sheds light on the perpetrators and their crimes, the Subsequent Nuremberg Trials held between 1946 and 1949, and the impact of the criminal proceedings that is still being felt to this day. Parts of the original dock from Courtroom 600 and historical audio and video recordings bring the criminal proceedings to life. A total of 21 perpetrators were called to Nuremberg to face trial for war crimes and crimes against peace and humanity. Opening times: Wednesday to Monday: 10 am–6 pm
