Experience & Enjoy
Matteo Ferrantino sounds like he comes from southern climes, which are indeed at the heart of his culinary concept. The native Italian ventured from Portugal up to the far north of Germany, where he now produces Mediterranean-inspired food with a modern and creative twist.
His restaurant, bianc, is the latest gourmet hotspot at the heart of Hamburg's HafenCity quarter. With a beautiful olive tree at its centre, this is a prime location where foodies can indulge surrounded by a Mediterranean palette of colours. At the restaurant, diners get a real sense of the Head Chef's passion for the Mediterranean cuisine he grew up with as well as his wild imagination, creativity and bold approach to innovation. There are three menus to choose from – "Market", "Emotion" and "Garden" (the vegetarian option) – but they are all based around the finest ingredients to be found on land and at sea. Every diner is welcomed with nine special amuse-bouches as a lovely introduction to the impressive range of delicious delicacies on offer.
