Transparency is a key feature in the Mannheim restaurant Opus V, where floor-to-ceiling windows give the restaurant a kind of greenhouse atmosphere and offer diners an impressive view extending far over the city.

Sophisticated gourmet cuisine and a relaxed vibe are guaranteed. Plus, there's a whole load more transparency for diners at the Chef's Table. On request, this private room can be opened up completely to the kitchen, allowing diners to watch the team at work preparing their meal. The theme continues in the dishes themselves. For example, Head Chef Tristan Brandt sources his ingredients from suppliers he personally rates highly and whose production methods he is familiar with. It is therefore hardly surprising that the identity and flavour of the produce remain clearly recognisable in all of his inventive creations - nothing is hidden at Opus V.
