Its 36 aquariums are home to 280 species of fish, crustaceans and molluscs. Twice a week a diver feeds the creatures in the main aquarium – a sight not to be missed. Another highlight is the whale exhibition featuring an 18-metre sperm whale that beached on the Wadden Sea mudflats. New to the museum is the skeleton of a minke whale, which illustrates the difference between toothed and baleen whales.
