Transparency is a key feature in the Mannheim restaurant Opus V: the floor-to-ceiling windows give the restaurant a kind of greenhouse atmosphere and offer diners an impressive view extending far over the city. The "Chef's Table" adds a new twist on this transparency. On request, this private room can be opened up completely to the kitchen, allowing diners to watch the team at work preparing their meal.
The theme continues in the dishes themselves. For example, Head Chef Tristan Brandt sources his ingredients from suppliers he personally appreciates and whose production methods he is familiar with. It is therefore hardly surprising that the identity and flavour of the products remain clearly recognisable in all of his inventive creations - nothing is hidden here.
