"Germany for the Jewish Traveler"

In Freudental, 25 miles north of Stuttgart, one of Germany’s loveliest synagogues was declared a State Landmark in 1926. The building was heavily damaged on Kristallnacht. In 1980, local citizens created the Freudental Patronage and Support Society specifically to preserve the former synagogue. Since the Former Freudental Synagogue Pedagogic And Cultural Center was established in 1985 in the restored building, it has become an important regional center, library and archive.
