The Charming Tauber Valley Cycle Route is a true classic in a class of its own. Culture, cuisine and history are brought together in a charming countryside setting that seems almost too good to be true.

The route certainly starts as it means to go on in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a perfectly preserved historical town that transports visitors straight back to days long gone by. Weikersheim, Bad Mergentheim and Tauberbischofsheim don't disappoint either. Then there are plenty of other historical towns and villages, old mills, Romanesque churches, traditional abbeys and vineyards of all shapes and sizes that are well worth a visit along the route. There's bound to be somewhere nice to eat just around the corner, with restaurants to suit every taste and budget. It's such a shame that this route has to come to an end in the pretty town of Wertheim am Main.
