Ems Meadow Park Telgte

Ems Meadow Park Telgte

The Emsauenpark is located in the center of the pilgrimage town of Telgte. Along the Ems, species-rich meadows, near-natural forests, ponds and pools, and an impressive floodplain landscape await you. Especially in spring and summer it hums and buzzes there.

The Dümmert Island in the city center with its stately trees is part of the inner-city park area between the old town and the poplar forest. Behind the town hall, ecologically valuable biotope structures such as small bodies of water and near-natural forest areas await you. These areas are particularly suitable for recreational use. The third section of the Emsauenpark lies to the north of the Ems. Some larger ponds and water holes are surrounded by large pasture areas.

Besides diverse nature, the Emsauenpark also offers two interesting ground monuments: The "Napoleonshügel" is the rest of an unfinished bridge construction over the Ems from the beginning of the 19th century. The "Motte" is a ground fragment of a medieval fortification.
