Holiday cottage "Seestern"

The Seestern holiday home is quietly located on the southern outskirts of Horumersiel and offers a light-flooded oasis of well-being on 120 m², especially for senior citizens and people with disabilities. Those who want to come with the whole family will find another bedroom with a washbasin and a cosy reading corner on the 1st floor of the house. On the ground floor, there is a guest toilet in addition to the main bathroom. So there is enough space for up to 4 people.

  • An in-house parking space is available directly in front of the holiday home (parking space size: 394 cm x 500 cm).
  • The path from the parking lot to the main entrance is 2 m and is easy to walk and drive on.
  • There is a bus stop nearby (150 m), but the bus departs very irregularly.
  • There are two entrances: main and side entrance. The width of the main entrance door is 130 cm, the threshold is 1.5 cm high. The width of the side entrance door is 100 cm, the threshold is 1.5 cm high.
  • All rooms that can be used by the guest are accessible at ground level. The evaluated areas are exclusively on the ground floor, the second floor was not surveyed.
  • Doors and passageways are at least 90 cm wide.
  • Aids offered: Nursing beds, infusion stands, required aids can be borrowed at the nearby medical supply store.

Bedroom (double bedroom)

  • The smaller manoeuvring space in front of/behind the door is 300 cm x 130 cm.
  • There is a connecting door to another room.
  • The nursing beds can be moved sideways to ensure manoeuvring spaces next to the bed of at least 150 cm x 150 cm. The nursing bed is wheelchair accessible.

Bedroom (single bedroom)

  • The narrowest passage width in the room is 170 cm.

Kitchen and living room

  • The kitchen is located in the living room.
  • There is a kitchen specially designed for wheelchair users. Sideboard/worktop, sink, stove and dining table are wheelchair accessible.
  • The narrowest passage width in the room is 130 cm.
  • From the living room there is access to the terrace. The width of the terrace door is 90 cm, the threshold is 1.5 cm high.

Toilet, shower, washroom

  • The manoeuvring spaces next to the toilet are on the left 35 cm x 56 cm, on the right 140 cm x 56 cm, in front of the toilet/washbasin 180 cm x 145 cm.
  • There is a handle which can be folded up on the left side.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible at a height of 67 cm at a depth of more than 30 cm. The mirror can be seen while sitting or standing.
  • The shower at ground level has a manoeuvring space of 145 cm x 145 cm. There is a handle and a shower chair.
  • There is an emergency cord at the toilet, sink and shower.
