2026 Q1 - Incoming Business Climate advances to 56 points

61% of international CEOs/Travel Experts on the GNTB Travel Industry Expert Panel have positive business expectations for the upcoming 6 months with regard to their business in Germany

In the first quarter of 2026, future business expectations for Incoming business in Germany are more positive than the previous quarter. 61 % of experts are optimistic about the development of their business in Germany over the next six months. That is four percentage points more than in the fourth quarter of 2025. The balance of positive and negative assessments of the future business situation stands at 59 points. This represents an increase of 6 points compared to the previous quarter and indicates a more optimistic business outlook.

The current business situation in Germany is also viewed positively by the majority of experts. 59 % rate it as good. The balance of positive and negative assessments for the current business situation is 54 points.

The GNTB Incoming Business Climate has advanced to 56 points. Compared to the previous quarter, there has been a further increase of one point.
