  • There is a public parking space for people with disabilities in the underground car park. However, this cannot be reserved.
  • Düsseldorf Central Station is approximately 150 meters away.
  • All rooms and facilities that are accessible to guests are step-free/at ground level or accessible via elevators.
  • All doors/passages accessible to guests are at least 90 cm wide. Exception: room door 206 and the sauna door.
  • There is a lowered reception desk.
  • There are 42 barrier-free rooms available.
  • The toilet in the rooms (with the ending number 04) is accessible from one side (at least 90 cm). There are flip-up grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can also be seen while seated.
  • The shower is accessible without a threshold. A grab rail and a shower chair are available.
  • In the kitchenette, the work surface and sink are not wheelchair accessible.
  • In the restaurant/breakfast room/bar, there are tables that are max. 80 cm high and wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm.
  • A wellness area is available. This was surveyed but not included in the evaluation.
  • There are two public toilets for people with disabilities (on the ground floor and in the wellness area), which are accessible from both sides (at least 90 cm). Flip-up grab rails are available to the left and right of the toilet.

  • In the event of an acoustic alarm, the barrier-free rooms are also equipped with a clearly visible flashing light signal.
  • There is no audio induction loop system.
  • Wi-Fi is available.
  • In the rooms surveyed, there is at least one freely available power outlet near the bed.
  • In the elevators, outgoing emergency calls are confirmed visually.
  • In the restaurant/breakfast room/bar, there are tables with bright, glare-free lighting and no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.

  • Assistance dogs are welcome.
  • The entrance area is designed with high visual contrast.
  • The signage (for orientation) is designed in easily legible, high-contrast font.
  • The walkways on the ground floor are marked with tactile and visual floor indicators without interruption.
  • All raised areas that can be used by guests are brightly lit without glare.
  • Control elements are tactile.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed acoustically. The stopping position is announced in the elevator by voice.
  • Stairs have visually contrasting edges on at least the first and last steps. Stairs have handrails on both sides.
  • The font used on the menu is simple and visually contrasting.

  • The name of the business is clearly visible from the outside.
  • The destinations are within sight or there are signs at regular intervals.
  • Printed materials (e.g., business cards, key card holders) with the address are displayed in a visible location.
  • The food is visibly presented at breakfast (buffet, counter). Information about the food can be provided by human contact persons.
