Amberg Congress Center
The Amberg Congress Centrum is one of the top Bavarian congress centres and offers an ideal venue in the countryside and close to the old town.
Underground parking, direct hotel access, its own restaurant and the proximity to Amberg's historic Old Town - which is worth seeing and can be reached via a footpath at ground level along the Vils River - guarantee short distances and provide an ideal environment for congresses, conferences, trade fairs and corporate events. In addition, the Amberg Congress Centre (ACC) offers a varied cultural programme ranging from cabaret and comedy to dance, theatre, concerts and art exhibitions. All rooms in the building are accessible for wheelchair users. For people with walking difficulties, two additional disabled parking spaces are available near the main entrance. Since the end of 2021, hearing-impaired people have the option of using a hearing aid at the ACC. This reproduces speech digitally and can be adapted to individual needs.

All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - accessible for people with walking disabilities and partially accessible for wheelchair users".

- There are two marked parking spaces for people with disabilities.
- The building is steplessly accessible.
- All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible or via elevator.
- The elevator cabin measures 113 cm x 160 cm.
- Almost all evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
- The cash desk is at its lowest point 97 cm high. There is another, equivalent communication possibility while in a sitting position.
- There are no wheelchair accessible tables available in the restaurant/dining room/breakfast room/café … (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).
- There is a public restroom for people with disabilities that is accessible from one side (at least 80 cm). There is a fold-down grab bar on the accessible side of the restroom.
- Guided tours for people with walking impairments and wheelchair users are offered. A reservation in advance is necessary.
- Mobile or fixed seats are available for people with walking disabilities, which may be used during the guided tour.
- The entire route of the guided tour is steplessly variable for wheelchair users.

- In the restaurant there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
- There is a seating area with low background noises (e.g. corner seating, separate room).
