The environmental forum is event location and modern church in one. With room for up to 400 people, the Umweltforum has a large hall, the heart of the location, and 12 seminar rooms, some of which are flexible, on 3 floors. Thus different events are possible in the sustainably built all-rounder.

All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - accessible for people with walking disabilities".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There is one marked, public parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm). 
  • The path from to the entrance is easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 1 % over a distance of 25 m.
  • The bus stop is 100 m away.
  • The building is steplessly accessible
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible or via an elevator.
  • The elevator cabin measures 109 cm x 139 cm.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
  • The reception desk is at its lowest point 79 cm high, the catering desk is 110 cm high.  Alternatively, there are mobile counters for reception, catering etc. with 76 cm or 102 cm height. 
  • There is another, equivalent communication possibility while in a sitting position.
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables available in the workshop room (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).

Public toilet for people with disabilities (basement)

  • There is a unisex toilet available.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the toilet and in front of the washbasin 150 cm x 150 cm;
    left of the toilet 37 cm x 70 cm;
    right of the toilet 78 cm x 70 cm.
  • There is a grab rail on the left side of the toilet. The grab rail can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger is available.

  • There is no clearly visible alarm. 
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly. 
  • Alternatively, stairs are available.
  • There is no audio induction loop system available. A FM system can be provided by an external service (subject to availability).

  • Assistance dogs are welcome.
  • The main entrance is visually contrasted to the surrounding area, but cannot be recognized by a tactile change of floor covering. The entrance door is a revolving door, alternatively a double-leaf door can be used.
  • In addition, there are no carousel or rotary doors.
  • Rooms, paths, stairs and the elevator are brightly illuminated.
  • An emergency call is confirmed audibly in the elevator. The signage is visually rich in contrast and the operating elements are tactile.
  • The staircases have handrails on both sides, but no contrasting edges.
  • The house signage is designed in clearly legible, contrasting font.
  • There is no information available in Braille or prismatic writing.
