Treasury Scientific library of the City Trier / City Archives

Treasury of the City Library Trier (Julia Marmulla)

The treasure chamber of the Scientific Library of the City of Trier and the City Archive offers all those interested in history a fascinating insight into the art and culture of the Middle Ages and the early modern period. The manuscripts ‘Codex Egberti’ and ‘Ada Gospels’, which belong to the UNESCO Memory of the World, and a copy of the ‘Gutenberg Bible’ are of outstanding importance. The museum also contains documents on the history of the city and the lectorate of Trier. Two representative baroque Coronelli Globes and a media station round off the exhibition.
