Our Halle (Saale) planetarium is located in a former gasometer on the green Saline Island, just a few minutes' walk from the city center.

The star hall is the heart of the planetarium. Equipped with a 12 m hemisphere as a projection surface and state-of-the-art technology, the hall offers more than 100 seats. Here you can start your journey to the stars and choose your favorite program from a wide range of programs.

  • There is at least one parking space for people with disabilities.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are accessible without steps/at ground level or via an elevator. 
  • All passageways/doors and paths are at least 90 cm wide.
  • Exhibits and information are mainly visible from a seated position.
  • The counter/cash desk is a maximum of 82 cm.
  • Seating is available. 
  • Images taken by the telescope in the observatory, which is difficult to access for structural reasons, can be streamed in real time for all guests in the barrier-free Sternensaal. 
  • There are wheelchair compatible tables in the Sterncafé (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair compatible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm). 
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which can be accessed from both sides (at least 90 cm). There is a flip-up grab rail on the sides of the toilet. 
  • Guided tours are offered for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users. Advance booking is necessary.  
  • Mobile or fixed seating is available for people with walking disabilities, which can be used during the tour.

  • In the event of an acoustic alarm, there is also a clear visual flashing and strobe signal. 
  • An audio induction loop system is available. 
  • Information is provided in writing.
  • W-Lan is available.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is only confirmed acoustically. Alternatively, stairs are available.
  • Information about the exhibits is mainly provided in writing.
  • Seating is available.
  • Guided tours are offered for people with hearing impairments and deaf people (in German sign language). Advance booking is necessary. Guided tours with FM equipment are available for people with hearing impairments (e.g. headphones, neckloops).

  • Assistance dogs are welcome.
  • The signage (for orientation) is designed in easily legible and high-contrast lettering. Information is tactile (e.g. relief or prismatic lettering). 
  • There are visually high-contrast or tactile floor indicators. 
  • All areas are brightly lit and glare-free.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed acoustically. The stopping position is announced by voice in the elevator.
  • The first and last steps of a staircase are fitted with horizontal and vertical contrasting edges. Stairs have handrails on both sides.
  • The exhibits are well lit.
  • Information about the exhibits is visually rich in contrast.
  • Information about the exhibits is partly conveyed acoustically.
  • Seating is available.
  • Guided tours are offered for people with visual impairments and blind people. Advance booking is necessary. During the guided tours, exhibits are integrated for touching.
