We take the different needs of our guests very seriously and attach great importance to treating everyone equally. In recent years, we have invested massively in the accessibility of our hotels. Our goal is to ensure that our premises are easily accessible for everyone.  Our non-smoking hotel, the Premier Inn Düsseldorf City Friedrichstadt has seven rooms for people with disabilities and another 56 generously designed handicapped accessible rooms.

  • There is a public parking space for people with disabilities in the underground car park.
  • The Mintropplatz tram stop is approx. 100 m away. The main train station is approx. 300 m away.
  • All rooms and facilities that are accessible to guests are step-free/at ground level or accessible via elevators.
  •  
  • All doors/passageways that can be used by guests are at least 90 cm wide. Exception: The bathroom door in room 206 is 80 cm wide.
  • There is a lowered reception desk. However, there is another, equivalent communication option available while seated.
  • There are seven barrier-free rooms available.
  • The toilet in these rooms is accessible from the right (at least 90 cm). There is a flip-up grab rail on the accessible side of the toilet. The grab rail on the left side is fixed, meaning that the toilet is not accessible from this side.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can also be seen while seated.
  • The shower is accessible without a threshold. A grab rail and a shower chair are available.
  • The breakfast room has tables that are max. 80 cm high and wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which is accessible from the left (90 cm).
  • There is a flip-up grab rail on the left side of the toilet. The grab rail on the right side is fixed, meaning that the toilet is not accessible from this side.

  • The alarm is clearly visually perceptible throughout the building. 
  • An inductive hearing system is available at the reception. 
  • An outgoing emergency call in the lift is confirmed acoustically. 
  • Alternatively, stairs are available.  
  • In the breakfast room, there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting where there are no lamps or hanging lamps that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact. 
  • In the raised rooms, there is at least one freely available socket near the bed.  
  • In room 217, ringing or knocking at the room door is indicated by a flashing signal, which can be perceived in all rooms.
  • WiFi is offered.

  • Assistance dogs are welcome.
  • The entrance area is designed with high visual contrast.
  • All elevated areas accessible to guests are well lit, i.e., bright and glare-free.
  • Visually contrasting or tactile floor indicators are available.
  • Signage (for orientation) is designed in easily legible, high-contrast font.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed acoustically. The stopping position is announced by voice.
  • Stairs have visually contrasting edges on at least the first and last steps. Stairs have handrails on both sides.
  • The font used on the menu in the breakfast room is simple and high-contrast.
  • A menu in large print is available, but not in Braille.
  • Information is available in Braille or prismatic print.
