bademaxx - The Sport and Adventure Pool in Speyer (SWS)

The bademaxx is an indoor and outdoor pool and offers all possibilities for sports enthusiasts, fun and wellness fans. 

In the indoor and outdoor area, swimming pool, diving pool, leisure pool and toddler pool invite to active leisure activities. Giant slide, rain grotto, beach volleyball, wide sunbathing areas and a varied gastronomy are only a small selection of the diverse offer. 

In the sauna area, guests can unwind - in the panorama sauna even with a view of the Rhine! Three Finnish saunas, a steam bath, the bio bath, massage and rest zones invite you to unwind. A spacious garden with log cabin sauna, natural pond and quiet oasis also offer pure relaxation.

  • There are five designated parking spaces for people with disabilities in the large parking lot.
  • There is an additional parking space for people with disabilities directly at the swimming pool.
  • The bus stop "Bademaxx/DJH" is located 100 m away. 
  • The outdoor area (large natural pool, outdoor sauna, sunbathing lawn) is only accessible via stairs. 

Indoor swimming pool

  • The indoor swimming pool is accessible without steps or thresholds via a 14 m long ramp with a 5% incline.
  • The cash desk in the indoor pool is 122 cm high.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are accessible at ground level or by elevator, except for the slides and diving boards/towers (accessible only by steps).
  • All evaluated passageways/doors are at least 88 cm wide.
  • There are a passenger lift, flat steps with handrails and an elevated pool edge at seat height above the pool perimeter for entering the swimming pools.
  • Other aids offered: rollator, walking aids, wheelchair, toilet wheelchair, 2 wet wheelchairs, swimming aids.
  • Wheelchair compatible tables are available in the bistro.
  • There is a bathroom for people with disabilities. 
  • The toilet in this room is accessible from one side (minimum 80 cm). There is a foldable grab rail on the accessible side of the toilet.
  • The shower in the sanitary room for people with disabilities is accessible without steps. There are grab rails in the shower. A shower seat is available.

Outdoor pool

  • The outdoor pool is accessible from the outside at ground level.
  • There is one step from the indoor pool to the outdoor pool, which is bridged by a short ramp (20% slope). In the outdoor area there is also a 14 m long ramp with a 6% incline (intermediate landing available).
  • The cash counter in the outdoor pool is 100 cm high.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are accessible without steps, except for the slides and diving boards/towers (only accessible via steps).
  • All evaluated passageways/doors are at least 90 cm wide.
  • There are a passenger lift and flat steps with handrails for entering the swimming pools.
  • There is a bathroom for people with disabilities.  
  • The toilet in this room is accessible from both sides (at least 80 cm). There are folding grab rails on the right and left.  
  • The shower in the bathroom for people with disabilities is accessible without steps. There are grab rails in the shower. A shower seat is available.

  • There is no clearly visible alarm.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • There are tables in the bistro with bright and glare-free lighting, where there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the field of vision. There are no seating areas with low background noises.

  • The paths in the outdoor pool area have a visually contrasting walkway boundary. The pool edges are partially visually contrasted. 
  • There are flat steps with handrails as aids for entering the swimming pools.
  • The signage is designed in clearly legible and high-contrast font.
